Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has ordered that the writ petition filed demanding the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane, who was accused of co-operative fraud, be kept under review. On Tuesday, the bench of Justices Sapna Pradhan Malla and Sharanga Subedi ordered that the case against Lamichhane be kept pending.
Advocate Anupam Bhattarai filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that the Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane should be suspended and the letter of the Attorney General’s office stating that no false complaint had been filed against the Home Minister should be dismissed as it would affect the investigation of his tenure in office.
